Bio

 

Ronan and Rob have collaborated on many crazy ideas since childhood, the short film Jellybaby, was their first as co-directors and proved to be a great success both at home and abroad. Screening at over 60 film festivals world wide, Jellybaby picked up numerous awards including Best Short at the Celtic Film and Television Festival, Best Comedy at the LA Golden Star Shorts Fest and an IFTA nomination.

 

In 2008 Ronan and Rob made their directorial television debut with Aisling’s Diary, the first teen drama for RTÉ Young People’s. It proved so popular a second series and a holiday special were commissioned. They followed up with Runners, funded by The Irish Film Board as part of their flagship short film scheme Signatures. Runners won Best Short Film at the 2010 Irish Film & Television Awards and continues to screen at festivals worldwide.

 

More recently Ronan and Rob directed the IFTA winning TV series The Importance of Being Whatever for Accomplice and RTÉ Young People’s and six episodes of the BAFTA winning ROY for Jam Media and CBBC. In 2014 they will release their feature film debut Standby a romantic comedy, funded by the Irish Film Board and the Lux Film Fund produced by John Wallace under Black Sheep Productions.
