Bio

 

Megan K. Fox is an award-winning Writer/Director. Her short film work has earned over a dozen accolades and high profile nominations, including Best Director Under 25 at BAFTA qualifying UNderwire Festival, winning the WFTV Lifetime Shorts Competition, Shooting People's Film of the Month and nominations for the Young Directors Awards Ireland and Kinsale Sharks. Last year she directed her first comedy 'The Shift', which was funded through the Fil in Cork Short Script Award Scheme 2018. The film premiered at Cork Film Festival in November and won the award for Best Cork Short. The festival is championing the film in a special programme touring partner festivals worldwide at the moment. Megan graduated with an MA in Narrative Directing from the MET Film School in 2015, is a member of all-female directing collective Cinesisters London and Women in Film and Television, and alumni of the Reykjavik International Film Festival Talent Lab. She is currently based in Dublin, developing her debut feature film script and prepping for her next short film project 'Cailín Álainn' which will shoot in Co. Kerry in the new year with the support of Kerry Co. Council. Megan is also branching out into TV directing, having been selected for a competitive programme with RTE training new directors to work with multi-camera on continuing drama.
