Mark Dollard is a writer and director, mainly interested in genre storytelling with a subversive twist. Mark graduated from the Film Production Degree course in Colaiste Dhulaigh in 2016. His graduate film, ‘MacCumhaill’, won best director and best film at the college’s graduate awards, earning Mark membership of the SDGI.

Mark won a further award in screenwriting at the 2017 IndieCork Film Festival with a short script entitled ‘The Story of Aylan’. He has worked in the industry for three years, mainly in production and assistant director roles. He set up Noreside Films in 2019, and produced and directed ‘Hunger’, the first project under this company name, in 2020.

Mark has been shortlisted for funding on numerous occasions, and aims to build on the festival run of ‘Hunger’ by making more shorts and developing feature projects.
