Lorna Fitzsimons studies photography in IADT graduating with a first class honours, the IPPA student prize and critical acclaim for her degree show that went on to group and solo exhibitions. Lorna was a photographic assistant to a number of international renowned photographers before setting up her own commercial practice in the early naughties and has been represented by Morgan the Agency since 2004. Her photographic work has develop into writing and directing a number of TV commercials and short films. In 2012 Lorna wrote and directed independent feature film 'Meeting on the stairs’ which screened in several film festivals throughout Ireland, Europe and North America before traveling with the Human Rights Touring Film Festival to South America and Africa.
2014 has seen her complete a MSc in Digital Feature Film Production through Filmbase and Staffordshire University. On this programme of study Lorna co-Directed the feature film ‘Poison Pen’, a screenplay written by ‘Artemus Fowl’ author Eoin Colfer. This film premiered at The Galway Film Fleadh and has screened in festivals across Ireland, Europe and North America.
