Jason Figgis is an award-winning IFTA nominated film and TV director who has had feature

work commissioned by major broadcasters that include Sky One, Sky Arts and Discovery

Channel.

Film and Best Performance - the film went on to win the Best Performance award), Best

Awards 2014 - UK - The Ecstasy of Isabel Mann), Best Independent Feature Film and Best

Director (BloodGuts Film Awards 2012 - UK - Children of a Darker Dawn) and Top 20 Best

Horror Films of 2012 (The Conduit Speaks - USA - Children of a Darker Dawn). Figgis also

won Best Feature Film at the Navan Film Festival - Ireland in 2006 for A Curious Incident in

the Life of Uri Geller. Figgis’ feature film Once Upon a Time in Dublin / 3Crosses made

distributor MVD's Best Seller list upon release in 2014. The film was also nominated in the

category of Best Feature Film at Ireland's Underground Cinema Film Festival. His feature

film Children of a Darker Dawn also made Amazon's Recommended Films list in the

category of Horror Movies and TV Shows in 2014. His feature double bill, Cathnafola / Leap

Into Darkness was rated 9.6/10 on Amazon.com from Customer Reviews, also in 2014. His

feature film A Christmas Carol was ranked in the Top 50 within the DVD horror category on

Amazon.com for 2014 and his feature documentary The Twilight Hour (Discovery Channel)

was nominated for two Irish Film and Television Awards in 2003 and played on Discovery

Civilisations for three years.
