Bord Scannán na hÉireann/The Irish Film Board Celebrates 20 years of Supporting Irish stories on film with a New Irish Film Trailer Featuring a Host of Irish Stars
Bord Scannán na hÉireann/The Irish Film Board (IFB) has been supporting Irish stories on film for twenty years. As part of its continuing anniversary celebrations, the IFB launched a three-minute trailer, which highlights some of the wonderful IFB-funded films of the past two decades, in the Lighthouse Cinema on Culture Night, Friday, September 20th.
Look out for stars like Colin Farrell, Liam Neeson, Brendan Gleeson, Gabriel Byrne, Cillian Murphy, Robert Sheehan, Domhnall Gleeson, Saoirse Ronan, Ruth Bradley, Kerry Condon, Colm Meaney, Pat Shortt, Charlene McKenna, Fionnula Flanagan and Allen Leech, and films including Intermission, Once,The Magdalene Sisters, Song for a Raggy Boy, Bloody Sunday, The Guard, The Wind That Shakes the Barley, Adam and Paul,Garage, Granny O’Grimm and The Secret of Kells.
The soundtrack to the trailer comes from acclaimed Irish band Heathers; Waiter is the third single from their new album, Kingdom.
