29 Apr 2008
In the first of two Directors Club Animation Specials to be hosted by SDGI aiming at supporting the Animation sector in a very direct and practical way Paul Bolger's 'Happily N'Ever After' was screened in Denzille Lane Cinema on April 29th.
In dialogue with Tomm Moore of Cartoon Saloon following the screening, Paul described his experiences of directing his first animation feature covering areas such as funding and budget, the challenges associated with managing the different specialist animation units which worked on the film all over the world and the pitfalls to watch out for such as finding and signing the music for the film.
Attending directors got a real insight into the making of an animation feature and were looking forward to the next Animation Special event on May 22nd featuring acclaimed international French director Michel Ocelot.
